Bedroom Makeovers

James has spent the last several months updating our bedrooms.

He did Ben’s room first. It used to be light yellow, and he painted it light blue, updated the trim, got a full-sized bed, and built a shelf for Legos.

Then he painted Claire’s room gray, updated the trim, and put a light and shelves in her closet. Later we got her a futon sofa to go in front of the bay window.

Then we started updating our room. Here is how it has looked for the past 13 years:

And here is the updated version. We got new bedding, lamps, blackout curtains, and a rug. This weekend James painted the walls a greige color and made a shiplap accent wall. He’s going to eventually update our trim as well, and tile our bathroom.
