Clarksville Comic-Con

Last month I took the kids to the Clarksville Comic-Con. It was a much bigger event than the one here in Gallatin last fall, and had a younger crowd.

The kids participated together in the cosplay contest. They dressed as a brother-sister duo from a video game, wearing items that we already had or found at the thrift store. They got a lot of compliments on their costumes from several of the teenagers who were there. Claire said “I have found my people.”

There were a lot of vendors selling keychains, posters, plushes, and figurines of all the characters the kids like from various animes and games. They both spent all of their money and were thrilled with their purchases.

There’s an even larger comic-con event in Nashville this summer, and Clarksville is having an anime-fest this fall. The kids are already saving their money and planning their costumes for both of those.
