Claire turned 16 on Wednesday! We celebrated with dinner out at a Mexican restaurant, followed by cherry cheesecake for dessert.
Last weekend we went to the Nashville ComiCon. Claire had an elaborate cosplay outfit planned, but struggled so much with the eyeliner that she gave up and just wore a t-shirt and shorts instead. Ben is still hanging on to his beloved gray Pokemon t-shirt that is literally falling apart. We bought him an exact duplicate of it but he says “it’s not the same”.
This weekend we are going swimming and to the mall. We are stretching the birthday festivities out for the entire week.
Claire is not quite ready to get her license yet and is doing driving school next week. Our plan is to have her practice a lot more over the summer.
