We got several inches of sleet and snow, canceling school for the entire week which thrilled the kiddos. Fortunately we didn’t lose our power or heat like my brother in Houston, and we have internet so I was still able to work. James has been down in Atlanta most of the month trying to finish up his hotel project.
Both kids have outgrown their winter coats, so Ben wore Claire’s old purple one, she wore my black one, and I wore one of James’. Fortunately we all had boots that fit. Throughout the week we have been sledding, pelted each other with snowballs, built a snowman, and made snow cream.
There was a mishap with our pool. The kids pushed on one of the plastic windows on the side, which was frozen and brittle, and it cracked and started leaking. James will try to patch it when things thaw out.
