Due to the pandemic, we setup a table in the front yard this year and let the neighborhood kids help themselves while we sat on the porch sipping hot cocoa. Surprisingly the candy lasted for about 2.5 hours, and I think we’ll do it this way from now on.

We kept it simple on costumes. Claire was a duck, and Ben was a witch/wizard.

He rigged up a “social distancing” Halloween bucket and ended up with quite the trick-or-treating haul. The kids finished up the night watching “Hocus Pocus” and “Nightmare Before Christmas”.
