We have had a busy week!
Our 22nd wedding anniversary was on Friday. We left the kids at home and went to eat sushi for dinner.
We both had to work on Monday, then loaded up and drove to Decatur for Christmas Eve at my mom’s house. My brother Dave flew in from Seattle and wore a festive Superman sweater. My stepsister Lorna and her husband also came over.
We drove back home that night to make preparations for Santa. Since we didn’t have any cookies, Ben left him a Snickers bar instead, along with some oats for the reindeer.
Santa was satisfied, because he left a lot of presents underneath our tree. As the kids get older, the presents get smaller and more expensive.
That night we ate dinner at the Jeffs’ house. Ryan made some delicious Greek food.
James had to go to Atlanta for work on Thursday and Friday. And then yesterday we drove down to Birmingham to have lunch with his family. We ate BBQ and played the Dirty Santa game.
It was also Ben’s 9th birthday! He celebrated by eating his weight in caramel cake. He is having a Pokemon themed party this Saturday at our house with his little buddies.
