Ben’s school does an annual fun run, but this year they did it in December and named it the Rudolph Run. Ben ran the entire race in his Crocs, ha!

He also did some fun STEM projects at school. He had to build a strong structure that was “hurricane and earthquake proof”, and his teacher tested it using a leaf blower.

In math class they made pizzas to learn about fractions.

Claire started back to school half days the week before Thanksgiving, and surprised everyone with her sassy new bangs.

Last week she got sick with a fever, headache, and body aches. We thought it was the flu, but she tested negative for that. She’s feeling better now and is set to go back to school full-time. She has a lot of catch up work to do to be ready for her final exams coming up.

She is still having stomach issues, but not nearly as bad as before her surgery. If she eats too much at once she feels miserable, and I think certain foods make her feel bad. She has follow-up appointments coming up with the surgeon and the GI doctor. Her spinal fusion is doing really well — the bottom curve even improved a little bit! She doesn’t have to see the orthopedic surgeon again until May.
