I went to Portland, Oregon a few weeks ago to attend a conference (DrupalCon) for work. It was fun to get to travel again and to see some of my coworkers and other web developer friends in person after three long years.
I earned a free ticket by volunteering to be a contribution mentor, helping people fix/review bugs in Drupal core. I was nervous about doing this, but it turned out to be a great experience and I met interesting people from all over the world.
